Who We Are
Family Housing and Adult Resources, Inc. (FHAR), is a charitable,
non-profit social service agency serving persons with developmental
disabilities such as mental retardation, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and/or
autism. Incorporated in 1971, FHAR has grown and evolved into a recognized
leader and innovator in the developmental disability service delivery
system.
As a multi-service agency with facilities located throughout San Mateo
County, FHAR not only provides residential services for the
developmentally disabled but vocational day programming and independent
living support services as well. FHAR's continuum
of program services includes sixteen homes, an apartment
complex, two vocational day program facilities and an extensive supported and
independent living service outreach program. FHAR's residential and
vocational programs serve hundreds of consumers yearly.
